Basic B: Are u serious?
Weirdo: Excuse me, what?
Basic B: That outfit u had on today? Takes a brave soul to wear that lmfao
Weirdo: Wtf do you mean by that?
Basic B: All I’m saying is, you can’t go wrong with a pair of Lulu Lemon leggings, crop top and Vans or whatever.  It’s simple, cute, and everyone is wearing it. Maybe you would fit in more if you would dress like the rest of us… You’re drawing SO much attention to yourself ya know, and not the good kind
Weirdo: You really think I’m trying to draw attention to myself?
Basic B: Why else would you wear something like that? #yikes
Weirdo: Idk maybe because I like it? because I feel comfortable in it?
Basic B: In that?! Hahahah interesting..
Weirdo: Please just stop yourself.
Basic B: I’m trying to help you!!
Weirdo: No you’re being an ass
Basic B: Oh so I’m being an ass for trying to help you not get made fun of??
Weirdo: Yup. You’re an ass. You’re trying to tell me to not be myself and frankly I love myself.
Weirdo: Call me what you want, make fun of me, idgaf.
Basic B: Ok weirdo. Last time I try to help you.
Basic B: Have fun being the laughingstock of the school!!!!
Weirdo: I might be weirdo, the laughingstock, the odd one out, but I freaking love who I am. I am a confident weirdo. Screw you & everyone else who can’t handle that.

Beautiful Imperfections

Perfection. It’s something people are continuously striving for whether that be in looks, foods, styles, etc. People will go to great lengths to embody the societal idea of “perfect” such as Botox, Photoshop, and even plastic surgery. But is perfection really something we should be striving for? There is a significant beauty in differences, in imperfection.

In the Japanese art of Kintsugi, when something breaks they fill it with gold to mend it. The broken, imperfect piece is now highlighted with beautiful marks. They do not throw something away, or hide it when it is broken. They fix it and emphasize the imperfections. The idea of celebrating imperfections in Kintsugi is an idea society should emphasize rather than the idea of perfection.

If everyone in the world was “perfect” it would be quite boring. Differences are special. They make people unique. We should not be trying to cover up our differences or imperfections but showcasing the beauty of them. They make us who we are and that is beautiful. Love your imperfections for what they are, and who they make you. That is much more special and meaningful than being “perfect.”

SWERVE

Ever been in such a hurry to get somewhere important and it’s as if the universe knows? It’s like it purposely sets a roadblock directly in your driving route to slow you down even more and make you late. So you gotta swerve into another lane to find a clear route without anything to slow you down to get you to your destination. Yeah that’s what it should be like with toxic people in your life. The kind of people who are your “friends” but don’t believe in you and your dreams. You should swerve right out of that damn lane.

People who don’t believe in you are significantly brining you down. They’re a road block in the route of your dreams. Why would you want someone who doesn’t approve of you in your life anyway? That kind of negative energy can be detrimental. It can make you insecure, question your dreams, and just sad. All I can say is screw that. Who needs negative Nelly’s in their life?? NOT US. We need people who believe in us and what we want to do whole heartedly. They make the strenuous road to our dreams just a little bit easier!

Just One More Time

Ever thought about the difference between winners and losers? Oh I’m sure you have
because who hasn’t? Well I’ve got a killer secret for you… winners have a secret formula. Yes,
just like Mr. Krabs with the Krabby Patty. Every time winners experience setbacks, failures,
rejection they try one more time, every time. Get what I’m saying? The secret formula is every
time. Simple as that! They become winners because they continuously try and try again until
they succeed.

You deserve to be in that winner’s circle, everyone does! But you have to use that secret
formula. So why not start now. Yeah you will experience rejection that’s a part of life. But take
that rejection as fuel for your winner’s fire. Why do you think J.K Rowling is such a success?
Because she never gave up! Harry Potter was declined by numerous publishing companies
before it was accepted by one and became a world-wide success. Twelve to be exact.

That’s a lot of rejection for one person. It can be emotionally exhausting to be rejected
time and time again over something you put your whole heart into. But obviously J.K Rowling
did not give up after her first rejection experience. She brought her work to more and more
publishing companies with vast determination. Her “just one more time. One more publishing
company” brought her to where she is today. And your “one more time” can lead you to your
success! Just keep on using that secret formula: every time.

Did you know that nobody in this world has the same finger print? Not even identical
twins! It is kind of the same thing with dreams and goals. Nobody has the exact same dream,
goal or path in how to achieve them. They can be big, little, simple, crazy and everything in
between. It should not matter what your dream or goal exactly is but your attitude towards
achieving it does matter.

Achieving a dream takes an extensive amount of hard work and nothing will get done if
that hard work is not put in. There are three choices in this life, you can:
A) Give up
B) Give in
C) Give it your all

I found this quote and decided it is a perfect fit for this. You have to give your goals your all
because they will stay stagnant if you don’t! It doesn’t matter if your goal is small such as to
stop waking up at noon every day. If you don’t fully commit to it and do a half assed job, it will
never be achieved.

With that being said, I don’t care how big or how small your goal or dream is. All I care
about is if you give it your all! If you want to be a doctor, go for it! If you’re trying to start a
business, good for you!! If you’re trying to stop eating like crap and eat more veggies, you
totally got this! Just give it everything you have and you will be amazed at the results! Mark
your mark on this crazy world we live in. B DOPE AF!

When? The word that haunts so many brains… When will my pizza get here? When will I
have time to start this? When will I even finish? Yeah the “When?” is a scary question/word but
guess what, time goes on, and boy does it move quickly. And the bad news is, there is no
possible way we have the ability to make it slow down. So why wait to act upon your dreams
and make them a reality? There always seems to be a better time. Tomorrow, next week, next
month, next year…

NEWSFLASH if you keep putting it off it is never going to happen! Do not wait for the
“right” time because seriously when is there ever a right time? Something always ends up
popping up to make you wait. Do not wait for all the stars to align to create a perfect scenario
because there is no such thing as perfect! Do not wait until you know precisely how to do
everything because who really knows how to do everything right? All you really need is to take
ownership and get started.

Yeah getting started can be a scary thing but you just have to jump right in and start to
swim. Do not let anyone tell when you should get started on your dreams or when you should
wait. They are YOUR dreams for a reason, not anybody else’s. Like Walt Disney said (yes I’m
referencing him again because I love that man) “The way to get started is to quit talking and
start doing.” Let get this sh*t done my friends, our dreams are waiting.

It's A Weirdo World

9/3/2019

What could the Weirdo World be defined as? It is a world where we embrace the
weirdo inside of us. We relish in the peculiar characteristics that fit together like a puzzle to
complete who we are. We are dreamers, rebels, misfits all perfectly packaged into one being
because we refuse to conform to the norm. We have the courage to be unapologetically
different. It is practically woven into our DNA to stand out and dream crazy dreams. We whole
heartedly believe anything can be done no matter what level of crazy it may be at.

Walt Disney is a prime example of what a member of the Weirdo World is like. He
conjured up this outlandish idea of a talking mouse named Mortimer, later known as Mickey.
What kind of person could possibly think of something like that? Only a weirdo could. He had
an idea and did everything in his power to bring it to life, even when people around him
thought his ideas were complete nonsense. His crazy ideas blossomed into something amazing
and timeless that people all around the world recognize.

If Walt Disney had confined to what the people around him deemed as the “norms” we
would have no Disney anything. Being a weirdo is not bad. Being a weirdo is beautiful. Amazing
things can come from a weirdo brain in a weirdo world. We weirdos have to keep pushing
through the negativity that may cross our paths and let the negativity inspire our creativity and
our passions more than ever.

But What Will They Think?

From the time we are kids in school, we’re conditioned to worry about what people think of us. Kids get bullied for being different or are scared to perform in a talent show for fear of what the audience will think. Our entire lives are wrapped in this idea that we have to care what other people think about us. It’s true for kids in school but it’s also true even as adults. That concern for other people’s opinions doesn’t disappear as we get older, it stays put no matter where we are in life. And I think it does us a lot of harm.

There’s a quote I like that says, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who
mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” It’s just a simple little saying, but the
meaning rings true. Fear of the opinions of others is something that will only hold you back in life. Be who you are confidently and fearlessly--that’s the only way to live.

Think about the people you admire most: singers, actors, artists, entrepreneurs...whoever they are, how did they get to where they are today? Do you think they let their nerves or fears of what people would think get in the way of their dreams? Of course not! They knew what they wanted and they chased after it with everything they had in them. And they became successful, passionate people because of it. If you want something in life, you have to have the confidence to go after it without worrying about what people might think.

So often, we live in fear of judgment from others. We let that fear decide what we do and how we act, when really, it shouldn’t matter to us at all. The person you are inside--strong, talented, beautiful, and passionate--that person doesn’t change based on others’ opinions of you. Don’t get so caught up in that that you forget what you’re capable of. More often than not, the people who are judging your dream are not the type of people who should matter to you. And the ones who do matter? They’re busy pursuing their own dreams!

Take a good look at yourself and ask this question: Am I letting my fear of what people think
stop me from living my dreams? If you are...it’s time to reevaluate. And remember, the people who matter will support you in your pursuits. And the people who don’t? They shouldn’t matter! Keep chasing your dream and doing what makes you come alive...it’s the only way to really live.

Note to Fear

Dear Fear,

I’m sick and tired of you getting in my way. This has gone on for long enough and it’s time I put
a stop to it. Every time I have an idea I want to pursue, a journey I want to take, a goal I want to
reach, you find a way to stop me. Wherever I turn, there you are. You block me at every angle
under the guise of protecting me. You act like you don’t want me to fail and your presence is for
my own good. But deep down inside, I know the truth. You don’t want me to succeed. You’re
getting in the way of my dreams.

It’s been this way for years, but it’s time I took a stand. Fear, I’m not going to put up with you
anymore. You follow me around every corner, waiting for me at every turn. That stops now. I’m
sick of you! So I’m finally doing something about it. From here on out, we’re done. I’m moving
on without you. So get out of my head, get out of my way, and get out of my life! From now on,
things are going to be different. This relationship we have--the toxic, controlling one--is going to
change. From now on, you’ll come into my head only when I need you. Only when you are
genuinely there to protect me.

This is the point I choose to put myself first. You’re not running the show anymore and I’m not
going to live my life under your thumb. You’re through crushing my dreams and keeping me
down. From now on, I’m doing what I want and taking charge of my life. I’m going to pursue my
dreams without you. And if you think you’re going to hold me back any longer, you’re dead
wrong. This time, it’s all about me. I’m not afraid anymore. So fuck you, fear!

I've Got the Dreamers Disease, Do You?

3/2/2019

For some of us, there’s a feeling burning inside that we were meant to do more. The feeling that
a mediocre life isn’t good enough. The knowledge that a meaningless job won’t be enough to
fulfill us. And no matter what the world says, we know we’re meant for more. It’s a struggle to
ignore that feeling, knowing all that your life could be. And it’s definitely not something that
should be ignored.

Not everyone has the dreamer’s disease. That feeling that presses you on toward something
more. The feeling in your heart that keeps you going even when the world is against you. Some
people are happy to live a life without passion and purpose. But not me. And I’m guessing not
you, either. We’re the dreamer’s. And that’s worth holding onto.

The New Radicals have a song called “You Get What You Give” that really hits home.
Check out some of the lyrics:
But when the night is falling
You cannot find the light (light)
You feel your dreams are dying, hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go, you've got the music in you
One dance left, this world is gonna pull through
Don't give up, you've got a reason to live
Can't forget, we only get what we give

If ever you think your dream isn’t worth holding onto, think about those lyrics. The dreamer’s
disease isn’t a curse...it’s a gift. The thing that separates successful people from the people who
could have been. The thing that sets you apart from the rest of the world. It’s a fire in your belly,
an ache in your soul for something more. That’s what the dreamer’s disease is all about. Do you
have it in you?

If you do, it’s time to set aside your fear and chase after your dreams. If you’re at the end of
your rope thinking your dreams and ambition aren’t worth fighting for, that’s the moment you
have to fight even harder. If you’ve got a spark inside you pushing you toward greatness, you
have no choice but to follow it.

Being a dreamer isn’t easy. It wasn’t meant to be. But it sure as hell is worth it. You’ve got a
light inside that most people couldn’t even imagine. And that’s more important than you might
realize. It’s time to embrace the dream and run straight for it. Whether it’s your reason for living
or just a reason to laugh, whatever it is, your dream matters. And it’s something you should hold
onto tightly. Don’t you want to have the dreamer’s disease, too?
